Chennaiyin FC Official 5-A-Side Tournament

On the 26th and 27th of November, CITY 5 participated to the Chennaiyin FC Official 5-A-Side Tournament with its U15 and Senior Teams. And the least we can say is that it was not only a usual Football Tournament, but also an unforgettable week-end with many twists and turns !

On Saturday, Chennaiyin FC invited us for a Buffet at the prestigious Hyatt Regency Hotel where the players were accommodated. CITY 5 players seized the opportunity to discuss with a couple of Chennaiyin FC players and took pictures with them. Marco Materazzi, the Italian Football World Cup Champion and current coach of Chennayin FC ; Bernard Mendy, The international French Player and Chennaiyin FC Captain ; John Aarne Riise, The international Norwegian Player and former Liverpool, AS Monaco and AS Roma Player, Davide Succi, Hans Mulder were present after our lunch to give us some company.

On that occasion, we luckily met Bollywood Superstar Abishek Bachchan (also co-owner of Chennaiyin FC Club) who paid his players a visit to encourage them for their last match at home.

In the evening, The Captain Bernard Mendy invited us to attend the game Chennaiyin FC VS North East United FC (3-3) at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. During halftime children even saw MS Dhoni, the Indian National Cricket Team Captain doing a lap of honour!

Finally, those two days were also the opportunity to consolidate team spirit, to promote teamwork and sharing !

After this extraordinary week-end, CITY 5 wants to thank Hyatt Regency, Chennaiyin FC staff and players and especially Captain Bernard Mendy : this perfect weekend would not have been possible without you !
