With a growing reputation in India, CITY 5 was able to obtain an official affiliation with the Futsal Association of India to create the Futsal Association of Pondicherry in December 2018.
In February 2019, our Pondicherry team participated for the first time in the “National Futsal Championship” at Kochi, Kerala. A first experience that could not have been more successful as our Pondicherry team was crowned Champion of India 2019.
After becoming Champion of India, Team Pondicherry flew to France for the Futsal World Cup in June 2019 with the 32 best clubs in the world like Intermovistar (6-time League Champion) and finished in 18th place.
